CATCH THE WORLD MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE OF GORGORO's "YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE BUT YOU BLEW IT" ON QTV TONIGHT

At last chaps, the long wait has finally come to an end!
The world debut of our first single “You Had Your Chance But You Blew It” is here!

Turn on your boob tubes at exactly 10:15PM and switch the channel to Qtv! Watch Qtube to witness our splendid music video, interview with the band, and the story of my quest in finding my father.

This whole ordeal is really overwhelming to a puppet such as myself. I didn’t realize how the public will take me, and it was a surprise how gracious and awesome the people were. I never felt discriminated. The color of my skin, rather, fur, has never become an issue with the humans. THANKS A LOT chaps!

I hope that MYX , MTV and [V] will be kind enough to help me spread this video. It will be very helpful to my quest of reaching my dad (wherever he might be).

Calling MTV, MYX and [V] people….tulong po ☺

NEVERLAND by GORGORO HENSON

NEVERLAND
music by GORGORO HENSON
lyrics by CEY ENRIQUEZ

I wish you’ll always find a rainbow through every storm
That you never would fear the dark can do you harm
I wish, you won’t ever have to say the magic’s all gone, all done.

Though it’s true, time will always find you.
Steal your youth
Make you feel down & blue.
‘Cause you have to--
grow on up and give your spot up in Neverland…

I wish you won’t forget that dreams—they still come true.
Even when you get caught in things you can’t undo.
I wish you’d always see the wonder that lies in you. I do.

Though it’s true, time will always find you.
Steal your youth
Make you feel down & blue.
‘Cause you have to--
grow on up and give your spot up in Neverland…Who says you have to?

ERASERHEADS' FINAL SET

me with jett Pangan of the Dawn

me with Eraserheads' former manager, Ann Angala

Me with Ms. Aimee Marcos

Me with RA Rivera

I'm glad to be a part of history yet again! Just being part of the audience is great. You feel the love of the people for this legendary band. Joining in the singing of their hit songs or merely being there in the presence of their greatness is awesome! As if that wasn't enough, it was even better when I was shown in the big screen. Splendid it is! A lot of people saw me there. I hope at least one of them know my dad, might be able to help me reach him.

Anyway, the concert was amazing, the crowd was amazing, the feel of the whole night was amazing. Even heard different versions of my favorite songs. But the burning of the piano, I think was the climax of the whole event. It symbolized the end of a long era. I realized that the other 3 didn't know Ely would do that, it was a surprise not only to the audience but also to Buddy, Marcus and Raimund.

Altogether, it was a splendid night!

Stereotype is a musician's "magma"

As a musician, I love exploring different kinds of music, play with new instruments, experiment with new sounds. But in the real world, I see that a lot of musicians are stuck. Stuck in a genre dictated to them by society. Typecast to just one kind of music, limiting their creativity. I believe these musicians are artists; they should not be caged or bound by people’s perceptions of how they should sound and what they should sing. They should belong in a limitless world to really achieve their fullest potential. It just saddens me to watch some musicians settling with “just ok” because of what people think, or expect from them. A lot of great talent goes to waste. But I know deep in their veins, creativity is gurgling, ready to spew out.

For me, “stigma” is a “magma” that melts away artists’ possibilities.

That’s why I made this song. To defy people’s perception that one musician should belong to just one genre of music, or can never try something new. Something different. Something totally out of character. I’d rather die than be boxed in like that. And with this song, I made a music video showing Blur behind me. Blur is one of the bands that I believe encapsulates my song. They defied boundaries, disregarded peoples’ dictation and just played their hearts out (specially after the Britpop wars).

Damon Albarn (Blur’s vocals) even made a deviant band called Gorillaz that really showed the people another world of possibilities. He also invaded the theater, being part of the musical play (Opera) “Monkey Journey To the West”.
Splendid!
